City of Imperial excited for Parade of Lights

About 6,000 residents attended the parade in 2019 - News 11's Wiley Jawhary reports

IMPERIAL, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The City of Imperial is getting ready for its 18th Annual Parade of Lights Christmas celebration, which is set to take place on Friday, December 10.

The City of Imperial says this is a much-anticipated tradition that did not get to happen last year because of COVID-19.

Ember Haller is the City of Imperial Community Services Director, she says that this year's parade has so much to offer.

"We have 73 units entering the parade, we have quite a variety, the imperial high school marching band, we have horses, dancers, and the Mexican food that everyone enjoys," she said.

The City of Imperial says about 6,000 residents across the valley attended the parade in 2019.

The Parade of Lights this year starts at 6 p.m. on Imperial Avenue.
