Imperial County and local organizations to restore Robert Bates Memorial Park

Project to restore park enters discussion

IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The County of Imperial joined with several local organizations to discuss the restoration of Seely's Robert Bates Memorial Park.

Other organizations include the Seeley County Water District (SCWD), Imperial County Farm Bureau and the Imperial Irrigation District (IID), who are all committed and will each be provided funds to help with the project.

Planned improvements include reseeding, fixing leaks, getting water back on, and replacing all the lighting with LED lights.

“I am proud of this collaboration and commend the Seeley County Water District, IID, Farm Bureau and its members in identifying this park for much needed improvements,” expressed Chairman of the Imperial County Board of Supervisors, Michael W. Kelley, “The restoration of our Robert Bates Memorial Park will be a true benefit to the residents of Seeley and our entire Imperial County.”
