As COVID restrictions ease, City Hall in Calexico reopens to the public

CALEXICO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - City officials in Calexico reopened their doors this week after having to close down at the start of the pandemic.

Calexico's Mayor Rosie Fernández said now that cases continue to drop, they are allowed to reopen services in the finance department so residents can pay their water bills in person as well as request permits.

The offices continue to follow protocol by adding a sanitary filter at the entrance. Fernández adds that reopening the building will give residents a chance to pay unpaid balances to prevent any discrepancies.
