IVC Business Club helps local group bring Christmas cheer to families in need

Toys received for toy drive.

IMPERIAL, Calif. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY)- The Imperial Valley College Business Club is joining forces with the Calexico Neighborhood House to make sure that children in need have presents for Christmas in their holiday toy drive.

It's part of the club's 20-year mission of community service.

Miguel Meza, President of the Imperial Valley College Business Club said not only does the group teaches students to be leaders but about the importance of giving back to residents.

"You know everyone has a hard time every once and a while. It's definitely good to kind of give that opportunity to at least bring that cheer to the kids that unfortunately don't have the resources to have that big Christmas that everybody would want," said Meza.

Residents and students can drop off unwrapped toys on campus at the admissions office, the bookstore, and the library.

The final day to drop them off is this Wednesday.
