Yuma man sentenced in child sexual abuse case

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - A Yuma man has been sentenced to ten years of probation after pleading guilty to sexual conduct with a minor.

Derek Moreno, 21, was accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl. As part of the sentence, Moreno must register as a sex offender for life.

Seven other charges, including sexual conduct with a minor, sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual assault, were droped.

Moreno has a status hearing scheduled for October 20.
