Man arrested and indicted in connection to nine burglaries on S. Fourth Avenue

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD) says a man has been arrested and indicted in connection to nine burglaries.

According to a press release, the burglaries happened between July 30, 2025 and February 25, 2026 in the area of S. Fourth Avenue, south of 32nd Street.

During the months-long investigation, YPD says the suspect was identified as 51-year-old Guillermo Torres, leading to his arrest last month.

Earlier this month, Torres was indicted by a grand jury as he is facing nine burglary-related counts, according to YPD.

Torres is currently being held at the Yuma County Detention Center on a bond of $75,000.

If anyone has information regarding the case, call YPD at (928) 783-4421, or 78-CRIME at (928) 782-7463 to remain anonymous.
