Man accused of attacking Vice President JD Vance’s home in Ohio returns to court

(NBC, KYMA) - The man accused of attacking Vice President JD Vance's home in Ohio was in a federal court Tuesday.

26-year-old William DeFoor was ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluation. The court also ordered DeFoor to remain in custody while that evaluation is done.

DeFoor has a pre-trial hearing scheduled for January 20.

DeFoor has a history of encounters with law enforcement in the city, and had at least one previous trespassing case dropped after he was found not competent to stand trial.
