Man accused of murdering Ohio couple appears in Illinois court

ROCKFORD, Ill. (NBC, KYMA) - The man suspected of gunning down an Ohio couple in their home last month appeared in court Monday.

Michael David McKee appeared in court in Rockford, Illinois and is accused of killing his ex-wife and her husband.

McKee waived his right to extradition, and the judge in the case ordered that he return to Ohio to face charges.

McKee faces two counts of murder in the deaths of Spencer Tepe and his wife Monique.

McKee was arrested in Rockford Saturday. There were no further details shared about how the arrest happened.

He will be extradited back to Ohio.
