Four arrested in Louvre heist, prosecutors in Paris say

PARIS (NBC, KYMA) - Four more people were arrested for their alleged role in last month's heist at the Louvre Museum in Paris.

A statement from prosecutors in France said the four, two men and two women, are from the Paris region.

In all, eight people have now been arrested in connection with the case.

On Sunday, October 19, authorities say thieves duped security systems, deployed power tools and used a crane lift to steal millions of dollars worth of jewelry from the art museum in broad daylight.

The stolen jewels have not been recovered.
