Two officers dead, one officer and K9 injured in shooting in Utah
UPDATE (8:45 AM): Police in Utah provided an update Monday on a shooting Sunday night which left two officers dead and a third officer and his K9 partner injured in Tremonton.
The shooting happened as officers responded to a domestic disturbance call late Sunday night.
As the initial officer on scene was talking to the person who called for help, a man with a gun came out of the house and began firing.
The officer was struck and killed as was the second officer who arrived on scene. A third, a sheriff's deputy and his K9 partner, were also struck by gunfire as they arrived on scene.
Both the deputy and the K9 received emergency medical treatment and are expected to be okay.

On Monday, numerous police officers and emergency responders took part in a procession to honor the fallen officers.
