Latest on the shooting which left one Minnesota lawmaker dead, one Minnesota lawmaker injured

UPDATE (5:48 PM): Two nationwide warrants have been issued for the arrest of suspected killer Vance Boelter, a federal warrant for unlawful flight and a state warrant for the murders and attempted murder charges.

The FBI is also offering a $50,000 reward for credible information leading to the suspect's capture.

At an evening press conference, authorities saying that they're operating on the assumption that Boelter is still alive, and he has "been in contact with individuals," but it's unclear if anyone is providing assistance to him.

"I don't want the public to have the impression that there's this long manifesto that's providing all of this information and details and then associated with names. It's much more about names and then others. And we will work through and beyond that I cannot provide details. This is part of the active criminal investigation," said Drew Evans, Superintendent of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

SIBLEY COUNTY, Minn. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Sunday marks day two of a massive manhunt in Minnesota, and authorities are still searching for the suspected gunman who shot two state lawmakers and their spouses Saturday, killing two of them.

There was a heavy police presence in Sibley County, not far from a home believed to be owned by the suspect 57-year-old Vance Boelter.

Investigators are now focusing on a black car abandoned near a highway in a small farming community.

The Minnesota State Patrol Confirms it's a vehicle of interest connected to Saturday's deadly shootings.

A news crew from an NBC affiliate in the Twin Cities also spotted a cowboy hat on the side of the road similar to the one authorities say Boelter was wearing.

It's still unclear if Boelter is in the area, but residents are urged to lock their doors and secure their vehicles as the search continues.

The FBI is now offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
