Suspect arrested in connection to arson attacks on Tesla and GOP headquarters in New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Authorities have arrested a suspect in the arson attacks on Tesla and the GOP headquarters in New Mexico.

Investigators with the U.S. Attorney's Office say 40-year-old Jamison Wagner is behind both attacks.

No one was injured in either attack, but Wagner reportedly destroyed two Tesla vehicles, and the front entrance to the GOP headquarters.

Investigators believe he's also responsible for a lot of politically-charged graffiti, comparing Elon Musk to Nazis and ICE to the KKK.

They say they connected Wagner to both attacks through surveillance video, and then arson equipment and graffiti supplies found inside his Albuquerque home.

According to court documents, Wagner is charged with arson of a building and or vehicle.
