According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD), the incident happened in a northeast neighborhood, and medic confirmed it responded to a scene in the area of Headquarters Farm Road and Wednesbury Boulevard around 4:45 p.m.

Preliminary information indicated that the two officers suffered non-life threatening injuries while attempting to serve a warrant on a person described as a "violent suspect."
