Shots fired over the weekend in Calexico

The Calexico Police Department is looking for two suspects after they received calls of shots being fired over the weekend

CALEXICO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The incident happened on Kemp Court in Calexico and the area is known to be a safe area.

The Calexico Police Department says witnesses saw a female walking towards a vehicle and believes it was a dispute between a female suspect and the suspect in the vehicle.

Some witnesses say they thought they were fireworks.

“Approximately, six shots rang out and then the female was seen walking northbound on kemp court towards meadow drive and then the car speeds by and makes a hard left turn to go west on to meadow drive," said Sergeant Acuña.
