PHOENIX (AP) — Phoenix police have made an arrest in a stabbing at a home that left one man dead.

Authorities say officers responded to a residence in central Phoenix Sunday shortly after 2 a.m. and found a man with wounds consistent with a knife attack. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Police say officers were able to gather enough information to identity a suspect, 47-year-old Major McKenzie. They located the suspect and found him with injuries and a weapon consistent with the attack.

McKenzie was taken into custody and is facing a possible second-degree murder charge.
