Agents say drone likely came from Mexico

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) â€“ A Yuma Station Border Patrol agent recovered a downed drone containing two packages of methamphetamine.

It happened Thursday evening at about 9:00 p.m. when agents reported the drone wreckage near the New Canal on the west side of San Luis, Arizona.

Next to the drone were two packages of a white powdery substance later confirmed to be meth.

The total weight of the narcotics were 727 grams with an approximate street value of $3,200.

Agents say the direction of the drone indicates that it had come from Mexico.

Agents transported the drone to the Yuma Border Patrol Station, and agents say they turned over the narcotics to the San Luis Police Department.
