Two more coronavirus deaths in Yuma County
Total cases surpass 450
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma County Public Health District (YCPHD) confirmed Tuesday two additional deaths from coronavirus.
Health officials are not releasing any details on the illness' latest victims. Nor are they releasing information on the county's 16 new patients. However, new numbers indicate, four are women and 12 are men.
Nine of the new infections involve people between the ages of 20 and 44. That age group continues to make up the majority of the county's cases. That's in sharp contrast to state statistics. Most of Arizona's cases involve people over the age of 65.
The county continues to make steady progress with testing. More than 5,300 residents have now been screened for coronavirus.
