Boosters get a boost, Moderna files for emergency use authorization

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - Moderna said it has filed for emergency use authorization with the FDA for its booster for all adults a the Covid-19 vaccination push continues.

First vaccinations saw a 47 percent jump and more than 31 million fully vaccinated adults have gotten a booster.

Also, Pfizer has submitted for emergency use authorization for its booster, as well. The FDA could make a decision on Pfizer's authorization any day, while the CDC's advisers are set to meet Friday to talk about it.

But at least 11 states expanded booster eligibility to all adults ahead of the federal green light. Some of the same states pushing back against the federal government's vaccine mandate aimed at companies with more than 100 employees.

Now all the challenges decided by the conservative-leaning Ohio-based 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
