California Colleges To Require COVID Vaccinations for Students and Faculty

(KYMA/KECY) - Come this Fall, some universities in California will require COVID-19 vaccinations. The California State University (CSU) system and the University of California (UC) systems plan to make coronavirus vaccinations mandatory for all students and faculty members who access the campus.

The universities made the announcement in a press release Thursday.

CSU said the requirement would become effective at the beginning of the fall term, or-- upon full FDA approval of the COVID-19 vaccines.

They said together, the two schools enroll and employ more than one million students and employees across 33 major university campuses.

According to the UC press release, if not vaccinated, an approved exception or medical exemption will be required before coming on campus.
