More than 309 million vaccines administered in US

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - The United States is edging closer to the Biden Administration's goal to vaccinate 70% of adults with at least one dose of the Covid vaccine by July 4th.

As of Sunday, the CDC is reporting 64% of American adults have received at least one dose of the vaccine and more than 309 million doses have been administered. More than 143 million people are now fully vaccinated, which amounts to about 54% of US adults.

The CDC reports 1.2 million doses have been reported since Saturday for a seven day average of a little over a million doses a day.
