96 case spike in Yuma County – largest single-day jump to date
Officials report three more deaths
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma County Health District (YCHD) confirmed another 96 cases of coronavirus Friday, bringing the countywide total to 604. That total includes 58 inmates from the Yuma Prison Complex.
Health officials also report three additional deaths from the illness, bringing the total number of countywide coronavirus victims to 10.
Officials aren't releasing any information on its newest patients, nor are they providing details on the deaths. However, new statistics show the 20 to 44 age group continues to make-up the largest bulk of cases — representing 43% of all cases countywide.
The latest report also shows continued progress in terms of testing, with over 6,000 Yuma residents now screened.

Arizona currently has more than 15,608 cases of coronavirus. The illness is blamed for 775 deaths across the state, including 10 in Yuma County.
