Yuma County sees spike of 35 cases
Spike is direct reflection of "Testing Blitz"
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma County Public Health District confirmed 35 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) Monday, bringing the total to 246.
The death toll remains at 3.
Hundreds of tests were administered countywide as part of Arizona's "Testing Blitz" Saturday, reflected in the number of tests now administered countywide — 2,706.
The county also sees a slight increase in hospitalizations, increasing by two patients. The county has not released specific information regarding COVID-19 recoveries.
The 20-44 age range continues with the highest number of cases, now making up 100 of the total reported cases.
Numbers show there is an increase of three patients in the critical 65-and-older category, now at 38. There is also a large increase in patients under 20, rising by seven.
