CDC expands list of possible coronavirus symptoms
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has tripled its list of coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms.
Previously, the CDC related fever, cough, and shortness of breath to be possible indicators of the coronavirus.
Now, the CDC has expanded its list by saying people may experience at least two of these symptoms:
- Chills
- Repeated shaking with chills
- Muscle pain
- Headache
- Sore throat
- New loss of taste or smell
The CDC notes symptoms usually appear two to 14 days after initial contact with the virus.
"People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness," states the CDC.
Some don't experience any symptoms at all.
