LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games reveal new slogan

(NBC, KYMA) - The organizers of LA28, the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, revealed the official slogan Wednesday: "Stars Align."

In a statement, the LA28 committee said the slogan "is both a rallying cry and an invitation for athletes to compete on sport's biggest stage."

LA28 Chairman Casey Wasserman said, "'Stars Align' is a call to action, whether you're an athlete at the peak of your skill, a volunteer welcoming the world to these games, or a fan cheering passionately from the stands. We can't wait for the stars to align in 2028 so we can share this moment with everyone"

This will be the third time Los Angeles hosts the Olympic Games and the first time since 1984.

The games start in July of 2028.
