Lucas Museum of Narrative Art opens its doors to the general public

LOS ANGELES (CBS, KYMA) - The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art celebrated its grand opening Tuesday morning.

The museum opened the doors to the general public to experience the 300,000 square-foot art showcase space, and is dedicated to visual storytelling.

Art from the movie series "Star Wars" is of course in the museum, but they are many other rooms dedicated to other art pieces like comics, graphic art and sculptures.

Over the weekend, several celebrities such as Steven Spielberg, Samuel L. Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Emma Watson, among others, attended a gala and got a sneak peek at the museum.
