Crews battle grass fire in Northern California

YOLO COUNTY, Calif. (NBC, KYMA) - Crews are battling a grass fire in Northern California, which began as a prescribed burn.

The Putah Fire in Yolo County began at about 11:30 a.m. Monday. Less than five hours later, it had burned 362 acres.

Crews on the ground and overhead are attacking the fire, hoping to get it under control before it can threaten homes and property.
