Man talks about seeing Michael B. Jordan celebrating Oscar win at In-N-Out Burger
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (NBC, KYMA) - A man who captured footage of Michael B. Jordan celebrating his Oscar win at In-N-Out Burger in Hollywood talks about the surreal experience.
When Jordan walked into the Hollywood In-N-Out Burger with his new Oscar in hand, Gleb Vashkevich experienced a uniquely Hollywood moment.
"You know, I completely forgot about Oscars at all. So we parked our car, we got in. And it was, like, so packed. Like it was like literally hundreds of people inside," Vashkevich shared.
Vashkevich, who is visiting L.A. from Chicago, says he was in the middle of ordering food when he suddenly heard screams and cameras going off.
"I turned my head to the left, and Michael B. Jordan's literally standing right next to me. Like he's literally ordering a burger right next to me...like right here. I'm like, my jaw dropped. I'm like, 'I started doing this?' I'm like, 'Wait, can it be real?' Like, 'What is going on here?'" Vashkevich detailed.
What was going on was a truly only in L.A. moment: Hollywood's newest Best Actor winner enjoying Southern California's favorite fast food, steps from the Dolby Theatre, where he had just won his first Academy Award.
"I can't imagine how it feels like to get your first Oscar ever, you know, have so many emotions, but he's just so chill when thousands of people like ours surrounding you, you know, they're taking pictures...You still are able to make jokes with them...He's just a great person," Vashkevich expressed.
Jordan signed some autographs and shook some hands and then enjoyed some cheeseburgers one for him and one for his new pal, Oscar.
It's all a reminder in L.A., you never know who you'll be standing next to.
"This is just such a cool moment. And I think this is like very typical for Californians like, you know, to meet celebrities like that, I guess," Vashkevich remarked.
