Protesters hold ‘ICE Out for Good’ demonstrations in L.A.
LOS ANGELES (NBC, KYMA) - Protesters took to the streets in Los Angeles Saturday for "ICE Out for Good" demonstrations, denouncing the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by ICE Agent Jonathan Ross in Minneapolis Wednesday.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), protesters marched in the vicinity of the Edward Roybal Federal Building in Downtown L.A., blocking at least one street as they protested. The LAPD also closing some on and off ramps.
Aerial footage shows a crowd of people with flags and signs close to gates of the facility before being moved back.
LAPD issued a dispersal order for protesters in the area after a group continued to march past the end of the scheduled march time.
According to the LAPD, at least one person was detained for battery on a police officer.
Similar "ICE Out for Good" protests have been seen across the nation to honor and remember Good and demand ICE leave their cities.
