One person dead after tree falls onto two vehicles in Southern California

WINNETKA, Calif. (NBC, KYMA) - A driver died when a huge tree fell onto two vehicles in Southern California.

It fell at about 3:30 p.m. Pacific Friday Winnetka. Firefighters say the driver of one car died at the scene.

A man in the second vehicle was able to get out and was not injured.

The area has had a lot of rain lately. That and the breezy weather can make it more likely trees will come down.
