Small plane makes emergency landing on Southern California beach
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (NBC, KYMA) - A small airplane made an emergency landing Thursday night on a Southern California beach.
It was still sitting on Huntington Beach when the sun came up Friday morning.
The Cessna's pilot was trying to reach John Wayne Airport when it experienced engine trouble.
It touched down on the sand at 9:30 p.m. Thursday. No one was hurt.
The emergency landing happened not far from the scene of a helicopter crash two weeks ago.
