SAN FRANCISCO (CBS, KYMA) - Residents in the San Francisco Bay Area were advised to stay hydrated as the region experienced warmer-than-normal temperatures Monday.

Footage shows Berani, a male Bornean orangutan, cooling off with a fruit ice pop at the San Francisco Zoo and Gardens on Monday.

"A cool treat for a cool orangutan. Listen (and watch!) as Berani enjoys a fruit popsicle," the zoo said in a post on X.

The zoo told Storyful it was an especially hot day at the zoo on Monday, with temperatures reaching 82 F, according to weather data.
