Business in California wrongly targeted by political threats

CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. (CNN, KYMA) - An electrician near Sacramento is being harassed by callers and people leaving bad reviews for his business online, but the owner says it's all a case of mistaken identity.

The problem is a woman who allegedly celebrated the death of Charlie Kirk online.

Vito Ilagan says the woman's husband runs a business with a similar sounding name. Only, it's about 500 miles away, near San Diego.

"That lady that made the posting, her husband owns a company with a name similar to mine. My phone number is being passed around and people just calling without knowing what's happening," Ilagan shared.

Ilagan has posted a message on his company's website and on his voice mail greeting to try to clear things up.
