Forward progress stopped on fire in California

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Forward progress has been stopped on a vegetation fire burning in California's El Dorado County.

As of Tuesday, the Valley Fire has burned 16 acres and is 28% contained, according to Cal Fire.

On Monday, crews were still on-scene working to strengthen control lines. Aircraft could also be seen in the area dropping water and fire retardant.

The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office has now reduced evacuation orders to warnings for all areas near the fire.
