Parents of missing California baby arrested days after reported kidnapping

CABAZON, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - The parents of a missing California baby have been arrested eight days after reporting their son kidnapped.

Rebecca Haro claimed someone took seven-month-old Emmanuel from her while she was changing his diaper in front of a store.

After a week of searching, the infant has not been located, but on Friday, Haro and her husband Jake were arrested on suspicion of murder.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office says Haro was "confronted with inconsistencies in her initial statement and declined to continue with an interview."

Officials say the search for Emmanuel continues.
