New York Post’s publisher to launch ‘The California Post’

(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - The publisher of the New York Post has announced it will expand westward and begin a new newspaper called "The California Post."

Rupert Murdoch's News Corp says the daily paper plans to follow the same model as its New York counterpart, with celebrity, entertainment, and sports reporting.

It will be based in Los Angeles with reporters stationed across the Golden State, creating attention-grabbing covers every day.

News corp says the first publication of "The California Post" will be printed early next year.
