California mother and her daughter missing for more than ten days
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (CNN, KYMA/KECY) - A desperate search is on for a mother and her eight-month-old daughter who went missing in Central California.
Authorities say Whisper Owen and her baby girl, Sandra McCarty, were last seen on July 15. They were visiting family in Fresno and relatives say they have not heard from them since.
A traffic camera spotted Owen's car that evening, some 60 miles north of Fresno.
Her family says Owen was heading home to Elk Grove in Sacramento County, but never arrived.
Investigators say at this point they do not believe foul play has played a role in their disappearance.
Family members say Owen suffers from high blood pressure and they are concerned she might have suffered a medical emergency.
