Federal agents search California home linked to alleged cult leader
TUJUNGA, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Federal agents raided a home linked to the accused leader of an alleged cult, and the subject of a popular Netflix documentary Friday.
The feds kicked down the gate and raided a home in Northern Los Angeles County connected to accused cult leader Robert Shinn.
The property gained fame as the subject of a Netflix documentary called "Dancing for the Devil."
It was allegedly both a talent agency for TikTok dancers and a church.
Federal investigators served search warrants alleging money laundering, sex trafficking, tax evasion and COVID-19 pandemic fraud.
Shinn's company called the documentary a slanderous work of fiction, and both the alleged victims and Shinn are suing each other in a lawsuit scheduled for October.
