Procession held for three deputies killed in explosion at an LASD training facility

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A procession was held for the three deputies killed Friday morning in an explosion at an Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) training facility.

Law enforcement sources told an NBC affiliate in the Los Angeles area the three deputies killed in the explosion were dealing with small "military-style devices" that were inspected or X-rayed.

LASD released the names of the three victims: Detective Joshua Kelley-Eklund, Detective Victor Lemus, and Detective William Osborn.

The procession followed the transfer of the three bodies from the training facility in east L.A. to the L.A. County Medical Examiner's Office.
