John Elway won’t be charged in death of his former agent

(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - NFL legend John Elway will not be charged in golf cart accident that killed his former agent.

Jeffrey Sperbeck died after suffering an injury when he fell off the back of a golf cart being driven by the former quarterback on April 26 of this year at the Madison Club in La Quinta, east of Los Angeles. He was 62.

On Friday, the Riverside County Sheriff's Office said investigators found nothing criminal and ruled the incident as a tragic accident.

Elway did not immediately comment on the findings, but he did say, in a statement back in April, he was devastated by the death of his close friend.
