Wolf Fire burns 1,400 acres, 10% contained

BANNING, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Hundreds of firefighters are battling the fast-moving Wolf Fire in Southern California.

The fire, which broke out Sunday afternoon, has now burned 1,400 acres near the City of Banning and is 10% contained.

Firefighters are using helicopters, bulldozers, and water tenders to prevent the fire from reaching nearby residential neighborhoods.

Evacuation orders have been issued for areas around Banning.
