SpaceX rocket’s glow visible over San Diego

SAN DIEGO (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket left a spectacular glow in its wake over San Diego as it launched 26 satellites into orbit sky on Monday night.

Footage filmed by Dennis Hall from San Diego's College Grove Center shows the rocket making its way across the Southern California sky.

"Tremendous launch! Go @SpaceX," Hall said in a post to X.

According to Space X, the rocket took off around 8:36 p.m. Pacific from the Vandenberg Space Force Base.
