CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Bear destroys a California family’s car
FOREST RANCH, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A California family could do little but watch as a bear destroyed their car.
Amanda Wells says her dog woke them up in the middle of the night, and that's when she noticed the car's lights flashing.
Footage captured shows the bear rummaging around inside.
Wells says the bear got in through an unlocked door, but wasn't able to get out for 2.5 hours.
Eventually, Wells' husband used a pellet gun to shoot out the windshield allowing the bear to escape.
The car was a total loss, and Wells set up a GoFundMe to help replace their car.
