San Diego County expected to have back-to-back storms

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A storm hitting the San Diego area Tuesday brought with it all different kinds of weather.

The first storm touched down overnight Tuesday, but the main band of rain moved through in the afternoon.

The county will see scattered showers with chances of thunderstorms throughout the night before a break on Wednesday, when some areas could still see some light, scattered showers while other areas will stay completely dry.

A more powerful and colder storm is expected to bring heavy rain, snow and strong winds to parts of the county starting Wednesday night.
