Suspicious package delays flights at LAX Airport

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A suspicious package held up flights at LAX Friday night. There are not many details at this time.

According to a LAX spokesperson, passengers were asked to avoid the area as police investigated the package.

It was later determined that the package was not dangerous.

Airport traffic returned to normal and passengers were told to continue to monitor their flight status.
