4.5 magnitude earthquake registered in Southern California

OCOTILLO WELLS, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - A 4.5 magnitude earthquake hit the far east of San Diego County Sunday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Society (USGS).

USGS reports the earthquake hit shortly after 3:00 p.m. near Ocotillo Wells.

Multiple reports say the earthquake was felt in all areas of San Diego County, and as far south as the Mexicali region.
