Suspect in custody after ramming his car into FBI Pittsburgh Field Office’s entrance gate
PITTSBURGH (NBC, KYMA) - Authorities have a suspect in custody after a car struck an entrance gate at an FBI office in Pennsylvania early Wednesday morning.
The man allegedly drove at a high rate of speed toward the main entrance gate around 2:40 a.m. Eastern at the FBI building in Pittsburgh.
The FBI described the incident as intentional.
"We look at this as an act of terror against the FBI. This was a targeted attack on this building. Thankfully no one was hurt," said Christopher Giordano, Assistant Special Agent for the FBI Pittsburgh Field Office.
According to federal agents, the suspect, Donald Henson, allegedly exited the car, took an American flag out of the trunk and stuck it on the gate.
They say Henson fled the scene, but was later located and arrested by the FBI. He is now in custody in Pittsburgh.
