Jury in Colorado finds former dentist guilty of poisoning and killing his wife

(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A Colorado jury has convicted former dentist James Craig of poisoning and killing his wife, Angela, in 2023.

He was found guilty on six of the seven counts, including murder in the first degree.

Craig was accused of poisoning his wife with various poisons, including putting eye drops in her protein shakes.

The jury found that he did so and planned it deliberately, killing his wife of 23 years.

Among other charges, he was found guilty of solicitation of murder by talking to other inmates about getting people involved in the case killed, including the lead detective.

The judge is set to impose a sentence at the end of impact statements. Craig is facing a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
