Alleged accomplice in Palm Springs fertility clinic bombing dies in federal custody
(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - The man arrested as an alleged accomplice in the May 17 Palm Springs fertility clinic bombing has died in federal custody.
32-year-old Daniel Park was found unresponsive at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles Tuesday morning.
Park was arrested earlier this month after extradition from Poland, where he went four days after the attack.
Park was accused of supplying chemicals and experimenting with them with the bomber, 25-year-old Guy Edward Bartkus, who died in the May 17 explosion.
Emergency medical responders transported Park to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation into his death is ongoing and officials are not offering information on any possible cause of death.
