Brian Wilson, ‘Beach Boys’ co-founder, dies at 82
(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - Brian Wilson, one of the co-founders and members of "The Beach Boys," has died.
Wilson's family announced his passing on the music icon's official website Wednesday. A cause of death was not released.
In 1961, Wilson and his cousin Mike Love wrote the song "Surfin." The pair later recorded the song with the Wilson brothers along with Al Jardine. The group later became known as "The Beach Boys."
Wilson was known as the creative force behind the iconic band's surf sound.
In 2023, Rolling Stone Magazine named Wilson one of the 200 greatest singers of all time.
He was 82-years-old.
