Agents rescue migrant woman lost in Arizona mountains

Woman found dehydrated near Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - On Monday, United States Customs and Border Protection agents conducted a rescue of a migrant in the mountains southwest of Tucson, Arizona.

A distressed woman called the Arizona Air Coordination Center for help then U.S. Border Patrol agents found her but she was physically unable to leave the area due to dehydration.

An air operations crew from Tucson arrived on scene near Baboquivari Peak to extract the woman and the two agents with her.

“This was another textbook rescue of a migrant in distress,” stated Deputy Director of the Tucson Air Branch William H. Robinson. “We work closely with our colleagues from Border Patrol to bring a bad situation to a successful conclusion.”
